CABOU COFFEE was started in 2016 through a partnership with the washing station MUNKAZE, located in northern Burundi, in Kayanza province at the altitude of 1,800 meters. We are working in collaboration with two cooperatives: NZOBIYAGA (“I am going to talk about it”) and TWRANYUZWE (“We have been convinced”). Each farmer has a file with the CWS so we can trace the coffee delivered. There are about 350 smallholder farmers involved.
Winner of Burundi COE and holder of the world price record for green coffee in 2014, SEGEC is the owner of Mpanga Coffee Washing Station in Kayanza province. We bring a wide range of Arabica coffees from the Bourbon Rouge variety that grows on the volcano soils of the Kibira Forest
