SOPACDI

Solidarité pour la Promotion des Actions Café et le Développement Intégrale (SOPACDI) was founded in 2003 with the objective of promoting a sustainable coffee chain for Congolese farmers in the Kivu Region. SOPACDI works with more than 12100 farmers in Kivu region and produces more than 600 MT of Arabica Bourbon 15+ from altitudes ranging 1500-2000 masl and rich volcanic soils.

Our Objectifs are:

– To produce specialty coffees of the highest quality (fully washed) with respect to certification rules to market them directly to the consuming markets 

– To work for the peaceful co-habitation of different ethnic groupes and to eliminate any form of discrimination (ethnic, ratial, religious, gender, etc)

– To promote employment for youth coming from disarmament.

– To promote women initiatives to improve their implication at all levels in the coffee business

– To create conscience of the risks of using chemical products and to eliminate their use.

– To fight to preserve our environment and avoid erosion

– To fight against deforestation and the pollution of our hydric reserves
